3. Age Information & Minor Protection

Tokii is intended for users aged 13 and older.

  • Age information is required during initial setup.
  • For users under 20, date of birth may be collected to accurately calculate age.
  • Age information cannot be changed after signup.
  • Age is used solely to enforce age-based interaction and messaging restrictions designed to protect minors.

4. Bluetooth (BLE) Usage

  • Tokii uses Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) to detect nearby users.
  • Tokii does not collect or store physical location data or GPS coordinates.
  • BLE-based discovery is subject to age-based safety filters, especially for users under 18.

5. Use of Firebase

Tokii uses Google Firebase services for:

  • Real-time messaging (Firestore)
  • Media storage (Firebase Storage)
  • Push notifications (Firebase Cloud Messaging)

All data is encrypted in transit and at rest.

Firebase may collect limited operational diagnostics.

Tokii applies industry-standard security measures, including:
